Meet Aimee

To me, being a loan officer is all about people and education. This is what I love about my work! I have such a passion for helping people. Since I was very young I can remember, even on the way to school on the train, assisting confused American tourists find their way in Vienna.

Although my family is from the East Coast of the U.S., I was born and raised in Vienna, Austria amidst the world of Mozart, Viennese cafes and the beautiful Alps. I had the wonderful privilege of traveling extensively through Western and Eastern Europe and taking in the mysteries of ancient cities like Barcelona, Prague and St. Petersburg. The travel bug has never left me!

At 18 I left Vienna for Washington State, where I attended college. This was somewhat of a cultural adjustment, but I soon got used to sharing enormous pizzas at midnight and learning all of the American lingo. I especially enjoyed exploring the beauty of the Northwest and meeting a man named Shailesh (from Kathmandu, Nepal), whom I would eventually marry!

After college I moved to Kagawa, Japan to teach English as a Second Language. I spent several years teaching Elementary and Junior High students who lived in the countryside on a peninsula by the sea. It was an amazing experience. I ate squirmy, live fish; relaxed in mountain hot springs, hiked through bamboo forests and marveled at the ancient temples. I will never forget this time.

When I finished my contract in Japan, I moved to Madison, WI to live near Shailesh. He attended the UW-Madison MBA program while I taught international students at a private college. In Wisconsin we became avid football fans and learned all about ice fishing and cross-country skiing. Shailesh and I married in Madison in 2002. This is also where I began my training as a mortgage professional and transitioned from "English Education" to "Financial Education".

In 2004 we moved to Arizona with a group of church friends from Madison. We are a part of the core team that is beginning a new, non-denominational church in Gilbert. So far, we love the sunny skies and desert landscapes and are thrilled to be in a warmer climate!!

So, what type of people are we? Shailesh and I are very social!! We love parties with lots of food. We enjoy dancing and music from all over the world. We are sincere in our faith in Christ and are quite involved with our new church. We love playing sports, hiking and camping. And... naturally, we love exploring new lands - like Arizona!
